The Seven Ladies Exhibition Opening

Join us on May 14, 2026 at Murray C. Perlman & Wayne C. Spear Preservation Center for the opening of The Seven Ladies, a new exhibition honoring the women who founded the Historic Savannah Foundation and reshaped Savannah’s physical and civic landscape.

The exhibition explores who each of these women was individually, including their personal histories, lived experiences, and the convictions that compelled them to serve their community at a pivotal moment in the city’s history. The exhibition explores who each of these women was individually, including their personal histories, lived experiences, and the convictions that shaped their commitment to community. Drawing on their varied backgrounds, networks, and long records of civic service, it considers how their experiences positioned them, collectively, in the right place at the right time to found Historic Savannah Foundation and shape its early vision.

Through photographs, archival materials, and interpretive storytelling, The Seven Ladies highlights not only what they preserved, but the enduring spirit of stewardship that guided their efforts.

The opening event is free and open to the public. Join us to celebrate their legacy and the lasting power of civic service.
