Poetry Open Mic with Poetry Co-Op

Join us for a captivating evening of poetry and community at the Historic Kennedy Pharmacy, where we will host an open mic session alongside special readings from the works of Savannah's renowned poet, Gerald Chan Sieg. 

  • Poetry Open Mic: Local poets are welcome to read their work aloud.

  • Gerald Chan Sieg's Words: Award-winning Savannah poet, the late Gerald Chan Siege's poetry will be interspersed throughout the night.

  • Old Chan Magic Exhibition: Come explore the Davenport House's photography exhibition featuring rare photographs of the Chan family.

This unique event is part of the enlightening exhibition Old Chan Magic: Chinese Roots, Southern Branches, which delves into the storied past of the Chan family in early 20th-century Savannah. In collaboration with The Poetry Co-Op, the evening promises an engaging blend of personal expression and historical exploration. Participants and attendees will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the profound words of Gerald Chan Sieg, whose verses intricately weave the essence of historic Savannah with his family's experiences.

This event is free and open to the public with a suggested $5 donation.
